My Story

I wasn't always immersed in fitness and movement. Throughout my 20s, I worked in restaurants and played in bands. When the odd hours and lifestyle factors took a toll, I knew something had to change. I turned to strength training, mobility training and running. As my fitness and lifestyle improved, everything else in life seemed to get easier.

In 2019, I became a certified personal trainer. Since then, I've worked closely with my clients to improve fitness and health outcomes, with methods founded on my belief that those who move better, feel better.

My Approach

My passion is to help people feel stronger and move with confidence through training that supports real life. Through skills based training - including barbell training, natural movement skills, kettlebell training, strength, mobility, bodyweight training, and more - I've helped dozens of people break through plateaus and feel able to take on whatever life throws their way.

Training with me is collaborative, exploratory, and playful. Whether in the gym or in your home, the goal is to help you move better and feel better in your body and every day life.

  • I work with people of all ages and experience levels who want to build strength, improve mobility, and move without pain.

This includes beginners, older adults who want to stay active, and athletes looking to improve performance. I especially enjoy helping people break through limitations like stiffness or returning from injury.

  • My approach treats movement and exercise as skills that carry over into everyday life.

I focus on building strength and mobility through exercises that reflect real-world movement, so what you do in the gym actually supports how you feel and move day to day. The goal is to help you move better, feel better, and handle whatever life throws at you with more confidence.

  • Most people can make great progress training 1-2 times per week, as long as they stay consistent.

Frequency matters, but consistency matters more. If you’re gradually increasing some element of your training over time, you’re on the right track.

  • Yes, in most cases you can continue training around an injury once you’ve been cleared by a healthcare professional.

After clearance from a doctor or physiotherapist, training can be adjusted to avoid aggravating the injured area. The focus is on staying active, working around limitations, and keeping everything pain free while you recover.

  • Personal training is worth it if you want structure, accountability, and a program tailored to your body and goals.

For many people, it helps reduce injury risk, build consistency, and get better results than training alone.

  • Yes, I regularly work with beginners and people who are new to training.

Some of the most rewarding moments are when clients start to notice small changes in their daily life, like feeling less out of breath on stairs or moving more comfortably throughout the day. That’s usually where momentum starts to build.
